I amazingly saved an autograph by James J. Braddock when as a teen I met him at a benefit that was held at the Jersey City Armory on Dec. 9, 1949. The cause was to purchase a snowplow for a town in Italy called Capracotta. Many celebreties were there but he was one who siged an autograph for me. I still have my ticket as well that says Carnival for Capracotta. Does anyone else remember that event?
